The staff at BlueHighways TV is once again getting ready for another “wild and woolly” week of Banjos, Fiddles, Guitars and more. Why you ask? the IBMA’s World of Bluegrass event is right around the corner. This is the 2nd year the event will be held here in Nashville TN. starting September 25^th and going thru October 1st at the Nashville Convention Center / Renaissance Hotel. 

 

As always, there will be artist showcases, seminars and an exhibit hall with over a 100 booths (drop by to see us), September 28th is the IBMA Award Show held for the first time at the Grand Ole Opry House!  This award show pays tribute to the year’s most outstanding achievements in Bluegrass Music.  And don’t forget about the Bluegrass Fan Fest, there you’ll see and hear the best of bluegrass music featuring top acts, such as Cherryholmes, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage just to name a few.. This is the bluegrass music festival of the year.

 

BlueHighways TV will have a special presentation of a two part series called the “Renfro Valley Folk” which features film clips from the 50s & 60s of the Renfro Valley Barn Dance.  The screening will be Tuesday, September 26th, 5-7:45 pm in the Fisk Room of the Renaissance Hotel.

 

By the way, I’m playing the Fan Fest on Friday the 29^th at 2:55 and would like to invite our loyal viewers and fans to get in on the Pickin’ and Singin’.
