On the Road Again
Bluegrass in the Blue Ridge
One of the prettiest places in the United States is the Blue Ridge Mountains in the state of Virginia, and on August 3rd - 5th there is a Bluegrass festival nestled into those mountains at the Page County Fairgrounds in Luray, VA. They will be celebrating Bluegrass music with a lot of great bands and the festival is paying tribute to my dad Don Reno and his partner Red Smiley on that Friday night.
The music kicks off on Thursday with a great show that features Larry Stephenson, Nothin Fancy and the Two Stringers. Friday is the day the Reno Tradition will be there and I will be doing the tribute with my great friend Alan Mills and the Lost and Found, along with many other talented bands. Saturday will be a big day with the “Queen of Bluegrass” Rhonda Vincent and her band The Rage along with Michelle Nixon and George Clark.
The Clark family is putting on this great show and their sponsor is the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital with proceeds to benefit this worthy cause. I will be talking about some more great outdoor events this summer on our website and it’s nice to know that a lot of friends and fans have taken our advice and have traveled to some of our family style shows. We really appreciate it.

Thanks and Happy Picking,
Ronnie Reno
