I’d
like to invite everyone to
come and visit us at the Bluegrass
Music Museum
and Yellow
Creek
Park in Owensboro,
KY
on June 25th - 27th . The
5th Annual River of
Music Party (ROMP) is a
wonderful event proudly
giving tribute to the art of Bluegrass
and the pioneers of the music.
It
starts on Wednesday night with
a wonderful line up including Del McCoury, Marty Stuart, and Mike
Snider and
goes on from there. On Thursday it starts at 11 in the morning at the River
Park Center and
Museum and
goes all day and into the night, with great acts like Paul Williams, Melvin Goins,
Larry Sparks and yours truly
as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening performances.
On
Friday the event moves to Yellow Creek Park for
two days of fun
and music. The music starts in the morning with great acts and ends up
in
primetime with legends like Bobby Osborne, Josh Williams
and JD Crowe. By
the time we get to Saturday
I’ll bet your feet will be sore from dancing and your hands will hurt
from
clapping. The evening line-up is like a fireworks grand finale on the 4th
of July with Doyle Lawson, the Dan Tyminski Band and of
course me and the
Reno Tradition.
I’d
like to invite everyone to
the friendly city of Owensboro,
KY for the River
of Music Party
and also the Bluegrass Museum
that proudly
archives memorabilia from my Dad’s legacy of music. For
more information please go to www.bluegrass-museum.org
When
you get there please find me
and tell me you read this in our BlueHighways TV newsletter
